HypeRadar ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the HypeRadar mobile application (the "App") and associated services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Profile information: Name, content niche, creator goals, preferred platform, and experience level (collected during onboarding)
- Email address: Optional, provided when signing in with Apple or Google
- Videos: Video files you upload for analysis
- Chat messages: Messages you send to the AI coaching feature
Information Collected Automatically
- Device identifier: Anonymous device ID used by RevenueCat for subscription management
- Apple or Google User ID: If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google
- Subscription data: Plan type, status, trial usage, and billing information (managed by RevenueCat)
- Usage data: Analysis history, video upload counts, analysis seconds consumed, and feature usage patterns
Information from Third Parties
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In: Name and email address (if authorized by you)
- RevenueCat: Subscription status, entitlements, and transaction history
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Analyze your uploaded videos and generate virality scores and recommendations
- Personalize AI coaching responses based on your niche, goals, and experience
- Manage your subscription and enforce usage limits
- Communicate with you about the Service (updates, support, and important notices)
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve Service performance and features
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
4. AI Processing of Your Videos
When you upload a video for analysis:
- Your video is temporarily uploaded to Amazon S3 (cloud storage) for processing.
- The video is sent to AI services (Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT via OpenRouter) for analysis.
- AI models analyze your video's hook, content quality, visual quality, audio, and engagement potential.
- Analysis results (scores, insights, recommendations) are stored in our database associated with your account.
- The video file on S3 is available for reprocessing during your active subscription.
AI providers process video data according to their respective privacy policies. We use API-level access, meaning your data is processed but not used to train third-party AI models.
5. AI Chat Data
When you use the AI coaching chat feature:
- Your messages and the conversation context (including the relevant video analysis) are sent to OpenAI GPT via OpenRouter for processing.
- Chat messages are stored in our database with usage tracking (message counts per analysis session).
- Chat interactions are subject to per-session message limits based on your subscription tier.
6. Data Storage & Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- Database: PostgreSQL hosted on Supabase with row-level security policies
- File storage: Amazon S3 with server-side encryption
- Transport: All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Authentication: Secure token-based authentication with Supabase Auth
While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Analysis results: Video analysis data is retained while your account exists.
- Account deletion: When you delete your account, all associated data (profile, analyses, chat history, uploaded videos) is permanently deleted via cascading deletion.
- Inactive accounts: We may delete accounts and associated data after an extended period of inactivity, with prior notice.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, as necessary to operate the Service:
- AI Processing (OpenRouter): Video content and chat messages are sent to AI models (Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT) for analysis and coaching.
- Payment Processing (RevenueCat): Device identifiers and subscription data for managing in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- Infrastructure (Supabase, Amazon Web Services): Data hosting, storage, and authentication services.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of HypeRadar and our users.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account.
- Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data.
- Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.
- Restriction: Request restricted processing of your data.

10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. 11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable laws.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
